On 8 May 2024, North Macedonia will hold parliamentary elections and the second round of presidential elections. While the government, led by the Social Democratic Union, that was in office til January, has achieved some successes, recent polls suggest a potential shift towards the right-wing nationalist opposition. What are the dominant issues in the election campaign? What would a right-nationalist government mean for EU accession negotiations?
